Since its inception, Machu Picchu Condor Trek has been dedicated to providing authentic and enriching tours to Machu Picchu, combining exploration of archaeological sites with immersion in local culture. The company started in 2013, its owners, Celso and Americo became passionate about providing people the best quality service possible. They opened the tour company Machupicchu Condor Trek and ever since then has been one of the top tour operators within the Cusco region!
The owners Machupicchu Condor Trek, Celso Cayo and Americo Santa cruz, wanted to create more work opportunities for the local communities within the Andes. They employs from these communities to help grow better situations for them in areas such as self-sustainability, education and more. Porters that work with Machupicchu Condor Trek receive a better salary than most of tour operators and respect the welfare of its workers’ to give back and support their families especially the childre
Prior to becoming the owner and founder of Machupicchu Condor Trek, Celso Cayo and Americo Santa cruz worked as a porter for a couple years and then, over the next 4 years, they worked as a guide. They conducted more than 200 Inca Trail treks and other alternative treks throughout the Andes. They have also toured with groups throughout the country of Peru. Theirs passion and enthusiasm for the Andes mountains, Incan culture and knowledge of plants was always highlighted and appreciated by tourists. They have accomplished theirs childhood dream to become the owner and founder of a tour and trekking agency. As a part of this, they wants to give back and improve the lives and living conditions of local communities through employing and supporting them with service projects.
Celso’s and Americo’s experience as a porters and guide have helped theirs gain an appreciation of what works and do not work on Tours & treks and within tourism. Now as the owner of Machupicchu Condor Trek .they are involved in every aspect of making sure theirs business runs smoothly, which keeps them on theirs toes. Despite theirs impressive workload, they keeps everything in tip top shape and all with a smile on theirs faces.
