SHORT INCA TRAIL 2 DAYS WITH CAMPING
If your dream is to know Machupicchu through the Inca Trail and you only have a few days. Machupicchu Condor Treks offers you this exciting trip by train and trek to Machupicchu. The short Inca Trail combines beautiful mountain scenery and archaeological sites such as Chachabamba and Wiñayhuayna incredible Inca sites, lush vegetation with cloud forest, rainforest and a subtropical jungle typical of the natural environment, here combines history with nature, creating an atmosphere of mystery and magic. This hike is ideal for those who have limited time and those who want to have a short hike and easy access to Machupicchu. Available every day with a minimum of 2 participants.

DAY 1: CUSCO – KM 104 – WIÑAY WAYNA – SUN GATE – MACHU PICCHU.
Machupicchu Condor Trek staff pick you up at your hotel at 04:30 am. we take you in our private bus to Ollantaytambo station in approximately 2 hours, where we will board our tourist train that will take us to Km. 104, place of control and registration, a few minutes after start our walk we will have the opportunity to explore the archaeological site of Chachabamba which is located at (2,100 m / 6,889 f), then we continue our journey for 3 hours and 30 minutes until we reach the archaeological site of Wiñayhuayna (2,600 m / 8,530 f), here we will have a break to enjoy our lunch (box lunch) with an extraordinary view of the landscape, then we continue for approximately 2 hours to get to the sun gate (Inti Punku 2,730 m / 8,956 f) where we will have the first views of the Inca city of Machupicchu and Waynapicchu mountain, then we descend to get the Inca site of Machupicchu, once there we will place ourselves in strategic points to take the most famous photos that have been seen. After enjoying the photos and views of Machupicchu, we head to the bus station to board the bus that will take us to the town of Machupicchu (Aguas Calientes 2,040 m / 6,692 f), where we sleep in a camping site next to Urubamba river, we will have a tea time before dinner to recover our energies.

Distance : 9 km / 5.6 miles approximately.
Hiking time : 6 to 7 hours approximately.

DAY 2: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHUPICCHU – AGUAS CALIENTES – CUSCO
Definitely this day you will enjoy Machupicchu with our tour Guide, from the hotel we go to Aguas Calientes bus station to board the bus that will take us to the Inca site of Machupicchu. Upon arrival, you will appreciate the sunrise over this great Inca city. Then we begin our guided tour inside Machupicchu for approximately 2 hours, our tour Guide will give you a detailed explanation, as well as visit the most important places within the place, at this time you can also take advantage of taking pictures.
You will also have time to enjoy some activities, if you wish (not included in the price), these free activities are:
- Climb Huayna Picchu Mountain or Machu Picchu Mountain and enjoy the beauty and the magnificent Llaqta of Machu Picchu from the top (request reservation together with the Inca Trail reservation and has an additional cost).
- Other optional activities in Aguas Calientes include a visit to the local museum or a visit to the thermal baths.
After the tour in Machu Picchu, we will go down by bus (included) to the town of Machu Picchu, also called Aguas Calientes, where you will have time for lunch (not included).
In the afternoon we will return by Expedition or Voyager train, which will take us to Ollantaytambo station. Here our private transportation will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco.
